03/24/2016 RECAP
WLL /AG / X / XOM
unfocused trading day today. oversized and didn't take profits into washes on the front side of the move. i was overly biased in my plan, and when i was wrong, i failed to step back and see where i was wrong. i even broke my rule of leaving trades on and going to work. all my trades are still on, so the losses can be even more significant come monday.
WLL, AG, X , XOM were basically all the same trade. XOM i took the trade as kind of a trial based on news to see how it played on a longer time frame. WLL, AG, X, given their daily charts and the moves they made yesterday, my thinking was that they could have another continuation day. when they all gapped down and opened weak, FOMO kicked in, especially since my papertrading platform wont allow fills for the 1st 2 mins. I saw them topping out of the gate, and knew they were going to wash, but instead of seeing that they washed, then held and started to trend, i just kept adding, using my markers and assuming that they would hold as resistance. when those didn't hold, i should have been aware, but i got too locked into my plan and didn't see how i could be wrong.

03/23/2016 RECAP
WLL / BBG / LL / SRPT / TSLA
WLL- was hoping for a 8.20s pop, risking 8.30. I started short when it popped to 8. added more 8.10, was leaving room for 8.20s. covered it all 7.80 and .83. hindsight, missed out on another .40 cents, but given the time and at the time i thought that .80 area would hold and bounce, being a prior area of support.
BBG- as long as 5.9 remained a top, was sticking with the trade. i held 500 shares overnight at 5.86 average. my goal was for a 5.50's wash. it chopped around all morning, and when it did wash to 5.50's area and not break, took it all off. ended up trending down to 5.36.
LL- was kind of expecting it to have a bigger push out of the gate. when it failed at 15 and cracked below the 9ema, i shorted a small position (100 shares), risking on the HOD. when it broke 14, took it all off. again a bit too early, but was happy with my profits from the morning. since yesterday i was overly patient i think i kind of corrected a bit too much in the other direction.
SRPT- wanted to see 21 become a top, the short pops with my goal being a 20 wash. started in, and got scared out when it didn't break down. when 21 failed, ended up getting short again. took partial into the 1st big wash, then the rest on the 20 break. ended up fading the rest of the day to 18.21.
AG- only loser today (-$9) kept it small again, and was playing 1200 shares. i started in with size a bit too early, when it was looking like it would wash right out of the gate. added near HOD, then scared out into the HOD. i then waited for a break of the 9EMA and ended up re shorting. covered it all at the LOD.
TSLA- when 234 double topped, took 20 shares short to try swinging. stop was over 234. the daily chart feels very over extended to me. goal is to try for a 200 pullback.

AG / BBG / SRPT / X
BBG i started short a bit early, the gap down threw me off. my plan from the night before was looking for 6 test and fail for a 5.50 wash.
SPRT traded really well for the morning, then i went short again, thinking it might fade even more. since my 1st entry was way too early, when it did fade, it ate into my profit from the morning.
X i was looking for pops toward 15.20 risking 15.40. opened weak and failed at 15 so i got short. i only had partial position, so when it washed, i was trying to be too patient. i should have just taken the quick profit, especially when it came back and held a higher low. added more at 15.20 using 15.30 as a risk, thinking if it didn't break down at this level it could go a lot higher. took it all off for very small loss.
AG i was looking for a parabolic type move, when it didn't happen and broke the 9ema, shorted some. added more when when it broke 6.90, took it all of 6.7s and 6.8. i was looking for a bigger wash, but given how the other trades were going, and how the SPY was trending, decided to just take the profits.

morning plan:
NUGT - looking for a 68 test, risking 70 o/u for 63 wash.
WLL - 10 test ideally. or g/r 9 wash.

NUGT
nailed the short entry, but failed to cover any. i was trying to be patient, hoping for a move toward red. took it off for a small loss when it didn't double top. was looking for 70 push/fail to get short again. when it failed at 69, got back in. took partials at the vwap and cut rest for even. got kinda whipsawed around in the consolidation, my stops were too close. when it broke below the vwap with more volume, i chased it a bit. covered all when held the moving avg, and 10:15.
SDRL
started in just incase washed further. added in when it broke below the 9ema, was looking for a wash to the .70s. added when popped up and failed at the vwap. took it all off in the .85s wash. had to leave for work, ended up trending down to 3.62.
WLL
same play as SDRL, was looking for a 9 wash. took profits all the way down. ran out of life after that, ended up hitting 8.15 near eod.
VRX
failed at 31, got short when it broke below the 9 ema. didn't want to oversize this one again, no adds, just stayed patient, covered 1/2 on the 30 break, and rest when 29 held and was time to leave. low for the day was 26.72

VRTX / PBR
pretty much even for the day, VRTX my winner.
VRTX- my morning plan was looking for 80 test and fail for further downside. i started in short when it broke below 79, incase it was going to wash further. my plan was the 80 test and fail, so let it test 80 to see how it would react before adding in. failed, and held under the 9 ema, so i added in. was looking for a 79 wash. covered into the wash and took it all off a bit early. kinda thought it was holding 78 at the time and was going to bounce back toward 79. when it cracked the previous area of resistance i decided to take another small short. took it all off into the low of day.
PBR- my morning trade plan. gapping up, oil had a big move eod with fed news and opec meeting. looking for a big push out of the gate through 6. if opens weak, looking for 5.30s to hold risking 5.10s.
didn't follow my trade plan on this. when it kept failing on bounces, i threw my long idea out and got short risking over the 9 ema. when it broke back over it and based i took the trade off basically even. ended up getting long at 5.50 thinking a push to 5.70s, got scared out when it had the big red candle and took the long off. got short again 5.70s. was just looking for a quick scalp, risking 5.76. took it all off when 5.64s looked to be holding.
